The MHCC sponsors day rides within a 60 mile radius of the Albany-Schenectady-Troy area, and has rides for beginning through experienced riders. These rides are led by members of the MHCC and are free and open to all, members and non-members alike. (excerpt from their site)

The CBRC site is back up and running and has a lot of information about cycling in the Capital Region.

Plattekill is a mountain that is about and hour and a half from RPI. They sponsor multiple race series both Downhill and Cross Country. It is also a personal favorite of several guys in the club and weekend trips will happen even on none race weekends.

Gore Mountain is a nice mountain that ins't quite as extreme as Platekill but is good for a really nice ride. It is also about an hour and a half from RPI. |

Mt. Snow has been the site of many NORBA races and would been a great spot for a weekend trip. |
